A common phrase in Chinese Medicine is that “the Chi leads the Blood and Blood nourishes the Chi.” This phrase depicts the importance and interdependent relationship between Chi (life force) and Blood. With this understanding, we can often link Chi Stagnation as a resultant, inter-related pattern of Blood Stagnation. It is also common to see that Liver Chi Congestion results in both Heat and Blood Stagnation patterns. This vitally important knowledge can help to unlock numerous, severe health related chronic problems.
Additional Support for Heat
Huang Qin (Skullcap) and Xia Ku Cao (Prunella Flower) has been added giving our formula extra emphasis and power in removing heat, especially Liver Heat that is manifesting in the upper body, as Liver Fire usually does.
Additional Support for Blood Stagnation
We added Chi Shao (Red Peony Root) as an added benefit to vitalize the blood, in addition to opening up and coursing Liver Chi Congestion. It was added to emphasize and reinforce the blood vitalizing effects of Dang Gui (Angelica Root) and Mu Dan Pi (Moutan Root Bark). All three Chinese Herbs help to deal with the byproduct of long-standing Liver Chi Congestion—which is blood stagnation.
Additional Support for Digestion

Da Zao (Chinese Date) and Chen Pi (Citrus Peel) are both added for additional digestive support, in helping to harmonize all of the herbs in the formulation. Da Zao has an additional calming ability by nourishing the Heart and Blood. Chen Pi is a great addition for the formulation because it also focus’s on strengthening the digestion as well as regulating Chi–further assisting Free, Easy & Relaxing’s effectiveness in opening up and dispersing stagnant Liver Chi Congestion!
This key formula is important for many reasons, being extremely relevant in our modern day and age. It is a formula that many keep in their herbal medicine cabinet to have on hand as needed. To do so is a prudent and wise decision, helping the modern individual improve their quality of life in a truly busy and complex day and age.
