Formula Focus: Ba Ji Yin Yang Wan, Ⅲ
What makes the Ba Ji Yin Yang formula different from other Kidney Yang Tonics, such as Golden Book Teapills, Right Side Replenishing Teapills or our formula H&E CMHC-Fire of Life Kidney Yang Formula, is the addition of some very strong Yang tonics that also focus heavily on strengthening both the Yang, the Essence (Jing) and Blood (Xue).
In the Yang tonic department, we have the Chinese Herb Yin Yang Huo, or perhaps better known by its common name, Horny Goat Weed, famous for its ability to stoke the libido fire as well as enable and enhance sexual performance and pleasure in men and women. Ba Ji Tian is also a powerful Chinese Herb Yang tonic, especially useful for deep cold problems related to Yang Deficiency. It’s applications are similar to those of Yin Yang Huo, focusing on infertility and impotence, yet it is just as important in situations with painful lower back, painful cold obstruction in the legs and in muscular atrophy. Du Zhong is also a very important Chinese Herb Yang Tonic, famous for its ability to heal back pain and address fluid related high blood pressure as well.
The Chinese Herb Bu Gu Zhi is also a great Yang Tonic, and has the ability to heal issues related to infertility and back pain. Its secondary functions are slightly different. Bu Gu Zhi can also restrain the Essence, making it a great solution for incontinence, frequent urination and involuntary urination. Bu Gu Zhi is also especially good in tonifying the middle fire, of which is dependent upon the lower Kidney Yang Fire for its health. Along the lines of Bu Gu Zhi, Xu duan, Lian zi, Jin ying zi they are all extremely important Chinese Herbs for restraining and stabilizing the Essence as well, giving this formula an extra emphasis and ability to help any issues related to leakage of fluids, especially those of the lower body such as with urine, sperm and vaginal discharge.
